Cétamada
CétaMada
is a Malagasy non-profit association founded in May 2009.
Its aim is to preserve marine mammal populations and their habitat in Madagascar. By involving local people in its actions, the association is committed to sustainable development. CétaMada supports the development of economic activities around marine mammals that generate direct income for communities.
Its activities are based around 4 areas of action:
supporting and promoting sustainable ecotourism
education and awareness-raising about the environment and marine heritage
developing community activities
scientific research.
Each year before the whale-watching season, the association recruits young eco-volunteers (volunteers) from all over the world, who will be trained in whale-watching and the marine world of San Marino.
